This is the first book in a long time where I look at it and regret buying it at full price, but only because of how sparce it is in size.
I greatly enjoyed this book as both an adventure and sourcebook. The material is well-presented and offers not only options for stand-alone play, but for making the three adventures in the setting into its own mini-campaign. They are often big on setting and exploration and fast in play. All it takes is a good DM.

It leaves a lot of room for DMs to create on the fly, and to assist with that, it even includes random generation tables halks both rooms and encounters!

It’s more pricey, but it fits the classic to a tee When DDN gets released, I can see myself going back to this book and previous Undermountain stuff and use it well.
Reading them feels like reading a choose your own adventure book. So it took me two paragraphs. How useful is this as a resource for people who already have the older Undermountain material? It isn’t the largest supplement, but it does a fantastic job of laying out the 1st level of Undermountain.

Like many products from or older lines specially 2nd editionthere are a lot of magical effects present on some encounters that produces arbitrary effects and makes no sense. Thirdly, they only populated portions of the level and they could have done more. The book also provides tables for random dungeon room generation and for random encounters, which could be helpful beyond this adventure.
