We certainly need to be able to manage our EMC setups and. I want to be able to ID our EMC Clariion CX I can see using snmputil that snmp traps are being sent and recieved to the SIM server but I do. I found where to enable SNMP, and set the traps but nothing is reporting from the SNMP server. So I’ve been searching around and have not.

This is a major frustration in this instance and I have seen issues related to hardware where this kind of information is deliberately left out of the SNMP MIB database, as this would mean the vendor will sell less of its own monitoring tools which uses their own proprietory API to witg the data.

You didn’t specify model so try http: Whatever i canat this moment i cannot pull anything from clariion. Life would be so much simpler if the vendors followed consistent structures – you may for example have found that HP does not put switch CPU and memory in the resource MIB, instead putting this information in the Private vendor branch instead.

SNMP monitoring of EMC CLARiiON, why can’t I find any info about this?
We have yet to get ours setup, but for when we do, Orion is ready. Thu Apr 22, 3: So I called EMC support twice about this and came back with some answers.
So I’ve been searching around and have not found any solutions so far, only Nagios Perl scripts and EMC support software. Our Claeiion infrastructure is growing fast.
