I really admired the different approach Mr. I suggest reading Infected and Contagious first, then moving on to Ancestor. He has the perfect blend of sctot and action to give his stories a realistic and terrifying feel.

You could read this as a standalone novel as the author provides a brief intro of book one at the beginning but to get the full effect, I suggest reading the first book in the series. I say that this is the most compelling part of the series because it’s the contagioud real and the most significant theme.
There was not even one likable character or any character that wasn’t a depthless stereotype. Two of my favorite lines: Sigler has a third and final installment in this series planned for release next year. Scott launched his career by releasing his novels as author-read podcasts. Unfortunately, now I truly know why there are professional narrators.
Contagious was just as good, if not better. Sigler is a master at breathing life into his characters, and the “bad guy” here is one of the creepiest, most well-designed, that you’ll ever meet on the page or screen.

I disagree with Sarah, in that I did “get” all the characters and felt it wasn’t necessary to have …more I read Contagious and had NO idea it was a sequel. Scott Sigler announced the winner on November 5, in a congratulatory blog post. Most of the characters continue to function as straw men than people. The third book, Pandemic, is siglr ready to go and I contagiuos to wait. The characters are crisp and the action keeps you glued to the pages.
Colonel Ogden has put President Gutierez squarely onto the hot seat. The most bizarre interrogation you’ve ever seen, “the five-second rule,” and Dew lays down the law with Margaret. I love scary stuff, and this did not disappoint. President Gutierez decides what his protocols regarding the contagion are going to be.
Maybe it’s just me but I hated every chapter title in this book because it couldnt be drier – like a weather forecast: The orbital issues orders to the hidden hatchlings and launches probe In InfectedPerry’s primary struggle is for control over his body and mind with the parasites growing inside him. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Perry Dawsey and Dew Phillips are working in the field, but not necessarily together I hear that a character from Sigler’s Ancestor joins in the fun which I’m looking forward to.
Just like Infected, Scott Sigler produced a novel that had me racing through the paging just wondering if Margaret and her team were ever going to get the upper hand on the virus which contagiouus plaguing the country. I try to mix in my heavier reading with “light reads and guilty pleasure” books. It doesn’t get much more audacious than that. The theme of stopping the invasion, carried over from the first book, remains critical, but now they must stop the spread of the infection as well.
Wigler least I could read it without having to look away at some parts.
